A Weekend With Brothers Celebrating Founder's Day

Last weekend, the FarmHouse Fraternity chapter at Texas Tech gathered friends, family and alumni from all over for a weekend of dinner, conversation and celebration. The 44th annual Founder's Day was held at the Texas Tech Club at the Jones Stadium.

The successful weekend was spent networking with others, beginning Friday night at the house on Greek Circle with an '80s-themed party to kick off the weekend. Families and friends reconnected over the night and reflected on the chapter's many memories.

Griffin Wild, President of FarmHouse Fraternity at Texas Tech, said the meaning of Founders Day is to bring the brotherhood back together for a weekend to commemorate the Texas Tech Chapter and unite old and new friends.

“Every year Founders Day brings current members, alumni, and family members together to celebrate our unique brotherhood. This special day allows us to rekindle old friendships and hear stories, new and old, about how far the chapter has come,” Wild said.

Current members and those closely involved with the chapter encouraged conversation and friendliness throughout the evening as we introduced our newest members.

Following Friday night, we initiated two new members, Brady Gideon and J.P. Andrade, into our brotherhood Saturday morning during the initiation ceremony. That evening, Colby Stokes took the floor at the 44th annual Founders Day Banquet where new business was discussed, awards were given and a silent auction for FarmHouse merchandise was sought after. As conversations dwindled and friends said their goodbyes, another successful Founder's Day weekend came to an end.

As we look forward to future Founder's Day weekends and other events, we want to thank everyone who made this weekend possible. We appreciate all of your continuous support towards our chapter; it does not go unnoticed. To stay up to date and in touch with our chapter, follow us on Instagram and like us on Facebook!
